NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Several members of the New Brunswick Police Department helped spread some holiday cheer Saturday morning at the 26th annual Holiday Festival For Children at the Suydam Street Reformed Church.

Several of the officers got into the holiday spirit by wearing Santa Claus hats.

Capt. Michael Bobadilla and other members of the department also helped distribute some of the toys they had collected throughout the year.

About 1,000 children were expected to take part in the program. They were treated to holiday music played by a live band and got a visit from the Three Kings. Oh, and they got a chance to tell Santa Claus what they wanted for Christmas.

The New Brunswick Police Department goes the extra mile to help the community this time of year. Members of the department took part in Thanksgiving dinner donation events just a few weeks ago.

Bobadilla has also served on the New Brunswick Tomorrow Board of Directors since 2005 and is co-chair of the Family Task Force.
