NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - A math tutor has been arrested and charged with inappropriately touching a 15-year-old student at KASR Capital Academy in Plainsboro, police said.

Suresh Rawal, 65, of East Windsor was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual contact in the third degree, one count of endangering the welfare of a child in the third degree and one count of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree, according to a statement released today by Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief Fred Travener of the Plainsboro Police Department.

Rawal was charged during an investigation by Det. Daniel Kanaley of the Plainsboro Police Department and Det. Linda Infusino of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigation determined that on Sunday, Rawal inappropriately touched the student during a tutoring session. The contact allegedly took place at his place of business, the KASR Capital Academy, located at 666 Plainsboro Road, Suite 1175 in Plainsboro.

He is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick pending his initial court appearance today.
