NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Big Ten Network will showcase great moments in Rutgers Athletics action today as part of its school days programming. The 24-hour schedule features classic games from football, men's and women's basketball as well as the debut of the 1982 AIAW Championship victory.

The coverage begins with a women's basketball overtime victory against then-No. 18/20 Iowa on Senior Day at the RAC. The next game revisits the 20th win of the men's basketball season, which also came in thrilling fashion with an overtime road win at Purdue.
Back-to-back football classics begin at 11 a.m. featuring the Scarlet Knights' largest deficit overcome for a win with a 55-52 win on the road at Indiana on Oct. 17, 2015, followed by the first Big Ten Conference victory, a 26-24 triumph over Michigan on Oct. 4, 2014.

The other football classics on tap include two bowl victories, the 2014 Quick Lane Bowl win over North Carolina (1 p.m.) and the 2011 Pinstripe Bowl win against Iowa State (6 p.m.). BTN will also re-air the Scarlet Knights' come-from-behind win at Maryland (10 p.m.) on the gridiron in 2014. The 2014 Maryland and 2015 Indiana games were both 25-point comebacks, tying for the school record.
Fans can relive one of the program's most storied upset wins, the 2006 victory over then-No. 3/4 Louisville (7 p.m.). BTN will provide a second screen experience for fans to view on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. BTN Host Gerry DiNardo will lead a discussion with head coach Greg Schiano and former Scarlet Knights Ramel Meekins, Tiquan Underwood and Jamaal Westerman. The group will share insights into the historic win and behind-the-scenes moments.

Rutgers men's basketball will be heavily featured throughout the day, with the team showcased through eight classic games. The programming will include five opportunities to re-live the historic 2019-20 campaign, a ranked win over Ohio State from the 2018-19 season, and classic games against Penn State (1989 A-10 Championship) and Iowa State (2004 NIT Semifinals). Additionally, the series 'BTN Elite', will spotlighting the program's undefeated 1975-76 season.
Rutgers University alumni made the 1982 AIAW women's basketball game between Rutgers and Texas available for a limited time in early April on YouTube. This is the first time the game will be appearing on linear television. The "Lady Knights" won the AIAW championship in the game played 38 years ago at the Palestra.
The alumni group is also working on a film documentary on the team and its place in basketball history entitled "Forgotten Champions." More information can be found at

Rutgers Day on BTN will conclude with the women's lacrosse win over Ohio State in the quarterfinals of the 2016 Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinal.
