NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – With overnight lows expected to drop into the 20s, the city has declared a Code Blue for the evening of Tuesday, March 2 through the morning of Wednesday, March 3.

Unity Square Community Center at 81 Remsen Avenue will be open overnight as a warming center between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

The city will attempt to accommodate all guests, but space is limited.

Doors will close at capacity or 9 p.m.

No food or drink will be allowed.

Due to COVID19 regulations, all guests are required to wear a face mask at all times and have their temperature checked.

Anyone in need of shelter or other social services can call 211 for assistance.

The overnight low in New Brunswick is expected to reach about 25 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds are expected to taper off after a wind advisory was declared for much of Monday and Tuesday.
