NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ -- Four veteran police officers with the New Providence Police Department were recently promoted and one was sworn in as a patrolman. The department and its Police Chief Theresa Gazaway made the announcement on Aug. 6.

Those being promoted were: 

Sean Bubb, a 19-year-veteran of the department, was promoted to Lieutenant;

Jason Labaska, a 23-year-veteran, was promoted to Sergeant;

Chad Wilson, a 19-year-veteran, was promoted to Sergeant;

Joseph Parlapiano, an 18-year-veteran, was promoted to Sergeant.

Kevin Gutierrez, who has served the department as a Class 2 officer for more than a year, was sworn in as a Patrolman.

The chief and department members thanked the officers for their dedication to the department and to the citizens of New Providence.
