The Summit Area YMCA will host its 6th Annual Laugh Out Loud (LOL) Charity Auction and Comedy Night, a fundraising event featuring all-star comedians Adam Sank, a Summit native, Leah Bonnema and John Fugelsang at The Hilton Short Hills on the evening of November 3.
Last year, the LOL event welcomed nearly 400 guests and raised over $100,000 to support the Y’s financial assistance program which ensures that everyone, regardless of age, income and background has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. As one of the area’s leading nonprofits, the Summit Area YMCA is committed to serving the diverse needs of the community, for people from all walks of life, at all stages of their lives.
“Laughter is great,” commented Paul Kieltyka, President and CEO of the Summit Area YMCA. “it knows no language barriers and has the power to unite us all towards a common goal. This event generates plenty of laughter and brings the neighbors together to help support programs for one of the most important assets of building a strong community—our youth.”
This year’s event will raise funds to provide memberships for military families, membership for seventh graders, Special Needs programs for youth, and the Family Backpack Program which works to reduce food insecurity in Summit. The Summit Area YMCA is grateful for the generous support of the Laugh Out Loud sponsors, with special thanks to Platinum Sponsor Capital Group.
