NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - New Providence’s annual street fair was held on Sunday filled with activities,
prizes, shopping, and of course food. The town gathered to enjoy the nice fall day with family
and friends.

The fair is presented by the NJ Sharing Network, and sponsored by Lantern Hill, Prestige Diner, and New Providence Business. The fair is a great opportunity for the community to stroll downtown and meet the many local business owners and organizations that participate.

Walking down Springfield Avenue, floods of children, parents, and teens were enjoying the
event. From the beginning of the avenue, bouncy houses and other air filled attractions entertained the children. They raced, hung out, and had a great time.

Parents and teens were walking down the street enjoying the small shops the street fair had to
offer. Jewelry, clothes, and home decor were amongst the most popular stops, where anyone
can find something cool and unique for him or herself.

Citizens also got a chance to talk with the candidates for borough council
themselves. Both the Democrats and Republicans had their own booth, filled with information
to support their elections.

Police and Firemen were on duty and interacting with the community. The Fire Department
had their own booth in front of one of their firetrucks, in order for the community to personally
see a truck up close.

People enjoyed the food -- with food trucks and stands, the street fair was
filled with many options for any one. There were sweets, such a brownie booth and cupcake
truck; drinks such as lemonade stands; and of course food, from grills to burgers.

The overall atmosphere of the street fair was amazing. People enjoyed the nice day out and got
to interact with each other.
