Academy of Our Lady of Peace Celebrating Catholic Schools Week

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The Academy of Our Lady of Peace in New Providence will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week starting on Sunday, January 29, 2017. There are many events planned for the PreK-3 to Grade 8 students, including athletic events like jumping rope for the American Heart Association, playing volleyball games against the faculty and hosting a handball game against Florham Park’s Holy Family School. There will also be a week-long Scholastic Book Fair within a Camping and Reading theme that will involve all grade levels.

In addition to preparing for this celebration, The Academy has also started the New Year with some great news.

  1. The Academy received high commendations from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools as they completed their midterm re-accreditation report.
  2. The Academy received the honor to be eligible to apply for 2017 Blue Ribbon School status.
  3. The Academy was selected to participate in the inaugural Newark Archdiocesan STEM Expo (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics).
