NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - Salt Brook School students experienced traditional Spanish music and dance during a presentation by the Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre, New Jersey’s premier Spanish Dance company.

The company brought the diversity of Spanish culture to life for the students with colorful costumes, Spanish guitar and castanets. The performers demonstrated beautiful Flamenco dancing, explained the traditions behind the dances and music and instructed the entire student body and faculty in learning Spanish words and elements of Spanish dance.

They had the audience on their feet, participating in palmas (rhythmic clapping) and escobilla (footwork). Sponsored by the Salt Brook PTA, the assembly shared the diversity of Spanish heritage.
