Artist To Do Intuitive Drawing Demonstration

 This coming Sunday afternoon,Sept. 30, 2012 from 2-4pm at the Conti Room of the New Providence Library,  377 Elkwood Rd,New rovidence, NJ 07974,
 26 paintigs and drawings are on exhibit and for sale by artist Linda  Howe.
 Linda  is a multi media artist,  educator, poet and storyteller, with a specialty in a process called Touch Drawing. It  is a safe, easy, simple means of personal expression that she will demonstrate at 3pm. She alos calls it 'Intuitive drawing'.She uses both her hands to paint, the paint lies under the paper on a piee of plexi-glass, so it's a printmaking process. She uses water mixable oil paints which are les stoxic and easier to clean up. The drawings can be used to genrate ideas for both watercolor and oil paintings or design work, as well as  other applications.IN addition a touch drawing may be done as a solo work ,in duets, trios or groups. She has used Touch Drawing  while performing stories and invites the audience to draw out the tale! Linda w teraches adults and children at the Yard School of Art at the Montclar Museum and soon will be doing worksho[ps for children at the McCulloch Hall Historical Museum in Morristown,
Kristy Chmura, a gifted harpist from Chahtham wil be playing harp music at her reception.
She just won First Place for a drawing of a Wolf's head titled Shiva -Singer  and  for the third year in a row at the Union County Senior Art Exhibit and show at both County and State levels and the Awards Ceremnoy is October 26th at Meadow Lakes Asisited Living Center In Windsor, NJ where 240 other artists will be showng their work andreceiving awards.

Her library exhibit is titled "Freedom of Expression" and chronicles her work as a fine artist, animal artist, and illustrator.The exhibit and sale runs from Sept 10 -October 12, 2012 and is open during  library hours.
