NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ -- The New Providence baseball team scored four runs in the third inning to propel it to a 7-3 victory over Brearley on Thursday.

Jack Connor pitched a complete game five-hitter for New Providence (8-11-1) with five strikeouts and two walks. Just one of the three runs against Connor was earned.

Dylan Bedder went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored for the Pioneers, and Connor also collected three hits and knocked in two runs. Stanton Leuthner singled and finished with three RBI and a run scored in the victory.
