NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ -- The New Providence boys basketball team sank 31 shots from the field and breezed to a 79-58 victory over North Plainfield on Tuesday night.

Senior point guard Sean Dillon scored 17 points and handed out six assists for the Pioneers (5-13), who got 13 points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots from junior center Carsten Schumm.

James Reilly finished with 11 points and three assists, Tim Walsh collected eight points, nine rebounds and four assists, and Will Lattmann and Matt Demareski each grabbed six rebounds for New Providence.
