Boys Basketball: Thomas's 18 Points Leads Pioneers Past Roselle Park, 62-38

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The Pioneers boys' basketball team continued their winning ways Saturday against Roselle Park, as they toppled the Panthers 62-38 in New Providence.

Led by a balanced attack from Tyler Curto, Dylan Thomas, and Sean Cole, the Pioneers were able to pick up their ninth win in 10 tries, improving their record to 9-4 on the season.

Thomas led the way offensively in the first half for New Providence, as they led wire-to-wire, taking a 34-19 lead into the half.

The third quarter saw the Pioneers extend their lead to 18, and in the final eight minutes all of the reserves saw some action in the matinee contest.

The Pioneers got 18 points from Thomas, while Curto added 13 and Cole nine.

New Providence will look to extend their winning streak to six when they take on Arthur L. Johnson at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Clark.
