On Saturday, June 5th during the Downtown Improvement District's Customer Appreciation Day, the New Providence Police Department is teaming up with Karate World and Actual Solutions to host a day of child safety.

Dr. Joseph Sperlazza of Actual Solutions, a retired school psychologist, will present a program for youngsters, from 11:30 to 12:30 pm, entitled "Handling Situations When Sparks Are Flying." The New Providence Police will be providing child safety finger printing from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. In addition, police officers and other child safety professionals will be on hand to provide child safety packets and answer any questions on personal safety. There will also be raffles and give-a-ways all day long.

This child safety event will take place at Karate World, which is located in The Village Shopping Center located at 1260 Springfield Ave., New Providence. This event will be held rain or shine!
