The annual Pasta Dinner is the CSA's main fundraising event of the year, and all proceeds go to support the CSA's mission of Neighbors helping Neighbors.

Carole Falk, CSA volunteer and Pasta Dinner chairperson, said that there over 90 baskets ready to be given away at this year's event, including nine "Shamrock" high-value baskets. "We are giving away bicycles for girls and boys, driver's ed training, an electric heater, a 5 x 7 carpet, fitness classes, massages, toys, a ladies' spa night, a golf outing for four, and so many other great prizes featuring goodies from around town and more," she said. A 50/50 raffle will also be held.

The Community Service Association of New Providence is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides temporary assistance to New Providence residents with financial needs while respecting the dignity and anonymity of the individuals and families. This could mean helping a family with medical bills, paying utility bills or rent, clothing assistance, transportation, and more. The CSA was established in 1954 and is believed by longtime members to be the first organization of its kind in the country. New Providence residents who would like to get involved are welcome to the CSA meetings on the second Wednesday of each month.

Residents in need of the CSA's help, or anyone wishing to get involved in supporting or volunteering, can call  (908) 665-8254 or email csanewprovidence@gmail.com.
