On September 8, the Sunday School classes of Faith Lutheran in New Providence began a new church year.  The School is for children from age 3 through grade 6.  On each Sunday, classes begin at 9:40 am and end at 10:40 am.  All children are welcome.
Sunday School occurs between the two liturgical services of each Sunday at Faith, one begins at 8:30 am and the other at 11 am.  Holy Communion is served at each service.  All are invited to the Lord's Table.
During the Sunday School period, Faith conducts an Adult Forum, which Sunday School parents often attend. The Forum begins with coffee, tea, refreshments and visiting, and is then followed by an educational program.  The subjects include issues faced by the church and the country, books of the bible, Faith's ministries and social justice questions.

The Sunday School offerings this year will go to God's Global Barnyard, which buys animals for families in impoverished third world countries, to help the families become financially secure.  The children's learnings will include the following.  A cow's milk, meat and calves can quickly earn a family money.  Fresh milk from a goat is very nutritional and can be used to make yogurt and cheese, which will sell in stores.   Chicks lay eggs at just a few months old, offering protein rich meals for families, who are hungry.
