The Berkeley Heights YMCA is offering the Healthy Hearts Cardiac Maintenance program beginning Jan. 23.

The program is free and open to anyone wishing to improve or maintain cardiovascular health, whether or not they have had a cardiac event. 

The program will meet on Tuesday and Thursdays at 1:15 p.m. for 12 weeks beginning Jan. 23.   Led by national certified trainers, the program will coach participants on developing cardiovascular endurance and strength training skills that will allow them to continue a lifetime of healthy habits.

A doctor’s release is required. If a participant has had a cardiac event, completion of a medically supervised cardiac rehab program is also required. 

Membership in the YMCA is not required and there is no fee. Space is limited.
