Girls Basketball: Morang Drops 30 in Lady Pioneers' Victory Over Linden

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – The turning point of the Lady Pioneers’ girls basketball game Monday night game against Linden is simple to pinpoint – tip-off.

From the second the referee threw the ball up in the air on Monday, the Pioneers dominated the Tigers, scoring 31 first-quarter points enroute to a 70-35 drubbing at New Providence High School.

Junior Sydney Morang dominated Linden, scoring a season-high 30 points as the Pioneers improved to 6-1. Sophomore Katie Kinum added 12 points, to go with eight assists.

Linden’s Cash Cannon and Karisma Lewis each posted double-figures, scoring 15 and 13 points in the losing effort.

The Pioneers are back in action on Friday when they host Roselle Catholic at 7 p.m.
