NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The New Providence basketball team advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Union County Tournament with a 60-27 victory over Linden Tuesday night.

No. 2 seed New Providence (18-4) outscored the 15-seeded Raiders in every quarter, opening with an 11-6 effort and building a 30-8 lead by halftime.

Senior guard Katie Kinum finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 6 steals for the Lady Pioneers, who will play the winner of Gov. Livingston vs Union on Friday, Feb. 17 at home in the quarterfinals.

Sarah Zeto scored 17 points with 12 rebounds and Hannah Caminiti finished with 9 points for New Providence.
