CLARK, NJ -- Undefeated New Providence built a 21-point halftime lead and rolled to a 57-25 girls basketball victory over Arthur L. Johnson Thursday evening.
Amy Maurer scored 12 points and came up with three steals for New Providence (15-0), which outscored the Crusaders, 20-7, in the second quarter to take a 34-13 lead.
Julianna DeGeorge finished with 11 points and three assists for the Pioneers. Kaitlyn Cumiskey had nine points, four steals, three assists and three rebounds, and Grace Kelly grabbed eight rebounds and scored eight points in the victory.
Four different Pioneers players handed out three assists: DeGeorge, Cumiskey, Kelly and Alexa Boyle.
