SUMMIT, NJ — The New Providence girls soccer team scored two goals in the first half and went on to a 3-1 victory over Kent Place on Thursday.
Amy Maurer, Emma Kenneally and Kavita Parekh each scored a goal for the Pioneers (3-1-1), who had a 2-1 lead at halftime.
Cate Munn and Grace Kelly both contributed assists in the victory. Carleigh Robertson made three saves for New Providence, which outshot Kent Place, 11-6. Arden Meyer scored the goal for Kent Place (4-2-1).
