WEST ORANGE, NJ - The Governor Livingston Ice Hockey team fell to Millburn on Saturday, February 15, by a score of 1-0 in the Kelly Cup quarterfinals. GL entered the game as the underdog, despite coming off a tie versus the Millers in the previous match, but Millburn prevailed in the defensive battle.

Millburn started the game with an early goal, which wound up being the only shot in the game to find the back of the net. Both defenses stood tough throughout the first period, bringing GL to the locker room down one.

Neither offenses could get much going during the second period. With 5:36 to go in the second period, Millburn was whistled for a five minute major penalty, giving GL a one man advantage. However, a Millers' PK kept the Highlanders scoreless heading into the second intermission.
