NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - Erickson Homes, parent company of Lantern Hill, a continuing care retirement community, recently set in place the final beam at its new facility in New Providence. The sales team, led by Executive Director Patricia Swan, followed an Erickson tradition of signing and dating the final metal beam that is set in place on the property.

On a cold, sunny day, the sales team congregated outside the Lantern Hill offices at 603 Mountain Ave. to sign the beam and pause for a photo opportunity to commemorate this significant event in the construction of this expansive property. The team consists of Jodi Howel, Stacey Gunderman, and Jose Gomez, sales associates; Jennifer Kohan, personal moving consultant;  Kathy Banks, Sales Counselor; and Patricia Swan sales director for the property. Swan will be the executive director for Lantern Hill from the sales cycle to the actual operation of the facility.
Assemblywoman Nancy Muñoz, who visited the site as construction was under way, said, "The Lantern Hill Retirement Community will be an important addition to New Providence; this will provide seniors with additional housing options."
Once the beam was signed, the construction team paused to place this final beam in its spot. The signatures of the sales team are visible, and will forever be imprinted on the site for years to come. Swan is excited about the progress at Lantern Hill, and is actively meeting with incoming residents to discuss and plan for their wishes for programming, dining options, activities and many other aspects of the full-service adult community that Lantern Hill will offer.
Swan said, "We are very excited to open this community, which will include five inter-connected buildings, 275 newly designed spacious independent living apartments and 85 residences in our continuing care neighborhood. With granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors and a large variety of bright and airy one and two bedroom apartment home floor plans, many residents will feel spoiled by their new homes.  Lantern Hill will provide local residents a chance to maintain family and community ties, while opening a new chapter in their lives, with the vibrant lifestyle offered at an Erickson Living community."

Lantern Hill is located on a scenic piece of property across from Bell Labs, with views of Chatham on the hill to the north. The first units are expected to be ready for occupancy sometime after the fall of 2015. Sales are brisk and many local and area residents have already committed to one or two bedroom units. Lantern Hill will allow residents to enjoy independent living today with continuing care for the future. The sales office is located adjacent to the site. Contact the sales office at 800-824-5939 or (908) 219-6702. For those who are considering Lantern Hill, Erickson offers Personal Moving Consulting services to help incoming residents to divest themselves of many years of furnishings and belongings.
