The Connection is hosting a free “Laughter Yoga” workshop on Saturday, December 7 from 7:30-9:00am. This workshop will be led by Joan Castellano, a Certified Laughter Teacher from Laughter Yoga International.

Laughter Yoga combines interactive laughter exercises with deep centering breaths and calming movements. It is a fun, effective stress relief program for all ages and abilities. Castellano’s “Live Life Laughing” wellness programs bring people of all ages and backgrounds together with deep belly laughs, deep belly breaths and playful laughter games. Her joyful laugh and playful spirit make it easy for everyone to join right in.

Laughter Yoga has been recommended by Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Andrew Weil as a fun way to exercise and relieve stress. It has also been widely covered by TIME magazine, the Wall Street Journal, CNN, the BBC, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

This unique form of stress relief was founded in 1995 by Dr. Madan Kataria. Motivated by his research on the psychological and physiological benefits of laughter, he started a Laughter Club in a local park - now Laughter Yoga is a worldwide phenomenon.

This workshop is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Participants should be prepared to move and wear comfortable clothes. For more information email
