LONNIE G BUNCH, III, FOUNDING DIRECTOR OF THE SIMTHSONIAN'S NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE TO SPEAK AT SUMMIT OLD GUARD MEETING SEPT. 20, 2011

Noted author, historian, curator and educator, Lonnie G. Bunch,III, founding director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History will speak at the meeting of the Summit Old Guard on Tue., Sept. 20, 2011 discussing his involvement in establishing the museum and it's collection of African American cultural exhibits.
Bunch has been a leader in providing historical information on the cultural activities and contributions of the African American community.
 
All area 50-plus men are invited to hear this presentation along with members of the Summit Old Guard. This group meets every Tuesday mornings at the New Providence Municipal Center at 360 Elkwood Ave. Coffee hour begins at 9:15 a.m. and is followed with a short business meeting.
