BELLEVILLE, NJ - Junior Ally Wagner pitched a full game, senior Elizabeth Mahon went 4-for-4 with two home runs for New Providence in 6-5 softball victory over Belleville on Saturday. With Saturday's win, the Pioneers improve to 4-7.
Wagner (2-1) struck out three and walked 9, allowing six hits.
New Providence trailed 4-0 in the sixth before the bats came alive. Mahon recorded 4 RBI going 4-for-4 at the plate while Wagner went 2-for-3 scoring twice. Karalyn McKnight and Kelly Doyle each added a run.
Belleville tied up the game in seventh sending it into overtime when Mahon delivered her second game homer for the victory.
Up next, New Providence travels to Union Catholic on April 26 with a 4 p.m. first pitch.
