BERKELEY HEIGHTS—Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts (WIPA) will host a Summer Open House on Friday, June 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The free event is open to the public and will be held at the Performing Arts School located at 60 Locust Avenue in Berkeley Heights. The open house will feature demo classes centered around summer camp offerings and light refreshments will be served.
On Thursday evening, September 22nd , David Hartman will present ‘Seven Life-Defining Financial Decisions’ at the New Providence Memorial Library. Topics will include: Looking at Insurance Options, Deciding to Buy a Home, and Planning to Change Jobs – what to consider to make the best decisions.
An actuary by profession, David Hartman is the Chairman of the Board of the Actuarial Foundation. The Actuarial Foundation’s newsletter, Financial Smarts, can be read by going to http://actuarialfoundation.org. It spotlights consumer topics such as insurance, retirement planning, saving, investing and other important financial decisions. The newsletter’s Summer 2011 articles include “Is Your Home Covered for a Natural Disaster?” and “Know Your Insurance Options”.
