NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - They were serving up “a spoonful of sugar,” and quite a bit more at the Character Breakfast this Saturday morning at New Providence High School cafeteria just a week ahead of the March 11th opening night for "Mary Poppins," the Spring Musical.

Along with a wonderful breakfast, there was a painted backdrop where children could get their picture taken with Mary Poppins and the cast, a ”Story Time Corner” with Mary Poppins, an arts and crafts section and a stage set up for the cast to perform songs from "Mary Poppins" for all the guests.

"Mary Poppins" is the musical originated in 1964, starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. Kara Dobias and Noah Kudman, Mary Poppins and Bert respectively, circulated around the cafeteria having their photographs taken with kids of all ages.
