Muscle Maker Grill®, a chain of casual eateries that serves great food prepared with your health in mind, announces its New Providence restaurant will celebrate National Donate Life Blue and Green Day on April 19th. An initiative of New Jersey Organ and Tissue Sharing Network (NJ Sharing Network), the day is part of a month-long event to commemorate those who have given the gift of life, and those who have received or continue to wait for life-saving organ transplants.

“While increasing the number of registered organ, eye and tissue donors that save and heal lives is part of our daily work, this month serves not only to honor the lives of those who have given and received, and remember those who died while waiting, it is also an opportunity to renew our commitment to saving lives,” says Joseph S. Roth, president and CEO, NJ Sharing Network.

To observe National Donate Life Blue and Green Day, Muscle Maker Grill New Providence will be hosting representatives of the NJ Sharing Network on April 19th from 11:00am-2:00pm and 5:30pm-8:00pm. There will be information available about the organization and organ donation, an opportunity to register as an organ donor, and you will be able to sign up to join Team Muscle Maker Grill in the NJ Sharing Network Walk/Race. The event will be taking place on June 9th at the NJ Sharing Network headquarters located at 691 Central Avenue in New Providence. Proceeds from the Walk/Race will be used to continue public education about the life-saving and life-enhancing benefits of organ tissue donation and transplantation.

“We are thrilled to be participating in National Donate Life Blue and Green Day and to support NJ Sharing Network in their honorable mission,” said Muscle Maker Grill New Providence owner Patrick Fields. “We also hope to help raise awareness about the critical need for more organ and tissue donors in New Jersey.”
