New Providence Alliance Hosts Teen Open Mic Night on June 28

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - Calling all teen musicians or singers looking for a chance to perform for your friends and the community. The New Providence Alliance is hosting its first “Teen Open Mic” at Centennial Park on June 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. 

Bring your friends and your talent for a great night of music. The New Providence Alliance is looking for bands, solo artists, singers and musicians to take the stage at Centennial Park.  All musical styles are welcome from singing a cappella and barbershop quartets to drum solos, Rock and Roll and country. Refreshments and ice cream will be provided. This event is for 13-18 year olds.

There is no need to bring your own sound system, it is provided by The New Providence Alliance. Performers need to register prior to the event. To register or for more information, please email Tara Smith at tarasmith612@yahoo.com

The New Providence Alliance conducts programs to promote and encourage drug and alcohol free events and programs for the New Providence community. Their programs include D.A.R.E, Every 15 Minutes, Project Graduation, Peer Leadership Programs, Red Ribbon Week, and Teen Alternatives. If you are considering joining The New Providence Alliance, they meet on the second Tuesday of each month at the Murray Hill Inn at 7 p.m.
