NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The road to a prized North 2, Group 1 sectional title will run through Paul Miller Field.

Greg Lambert allowed just 1 hit in top-seeded New Providence’s 10-0, mercy induced victory over 16th seeded Technology on Monday afternoon in New Providence.

The Pioneers wasted no time jumping out in front, striking for four runs in the first frame and never looking back from there.

Eight different Pioneers found the hit column on the afternoon, with Tyler DeGeorge, Stanton Leuthner, and Ryan Sherman all collecting a pair of knocks.

The game only took five innings to finish, with DeGeorge slapping a walk-off, two-run double down the right field line to end the game with the Pioneers going up by double-digits.

The win advances New Providence to a quarterfinal match-up with familiar foe Jonathan Dayton, with a semi-final spot on the line.  The big game will take place on Thursday, with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m. at Paul Miller Field.
