NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The borough received two checks from Union County toward its parks and its recreation fund.

The Union County Board of Freeholders gave New Providence one check for $57,000 to be entered into the borough's Recreation Trust Fund, and another check for $2,000 for 21 trees in New Providence's parks.

"Thank you to Union County for continuing to be generous to New Providence," said Mayor Al Morgan. "We look forward to continuing to work with Union County for the betterment of our borough."
