NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – The Pioneers’ girls’ lacrosse team returned to their old form on Monday at Lieder Field.

Trailing by two goals at halftime, New Providence outscored Roxbury by three goals in the second half to beat the Gaels 11-10.

Louisville-bound Jillian Balog and Dominique Iacovelli each scored three times to lead the Pioneers to their third win of the season. Iacovelli, who leads New Providence with 11 goals, also contributed an assist in the victory.

Sarah Zeto made 10 saves for the Pioneers to move to 3-1 on the season.

The Pioneers are back in action on Wednesday when they host Montclair Kimberley at 4 p.m.
