New Providence Opens Play in District 12 10U Baseball Tourney This Weekend

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - The District 12 2015 Cal Ripken 10U Baseball Tournament opens this weekend at two sites in Scotch Plains.

New Providence's 10U team will play its first game against Cranford at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Booth Field (off of Route 22 Eastbound near Westfield Road). On Sunday, New Providence will face Watchung Hills at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Field on Westfield Avenue in Scotch Plains.

Each of the 12 teams in the tournament will play four pool-play contests over the next week, and then qualifiers out of that round will be entered into playoff rounds that begin on Monday, June 22. The championship game is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, June 27 at 11 a.m. at Booth Field.
