NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The New Providence PAL is proud to honor four exceptional athletes for both their merits on and off the field. NPPAL awarded $4,000 in scholarships to individuals who exemplify everything that the PAL organization stands for: PAL participation, PAL volunteerism, community service, and academic performance. This year the scholarships were awarded to Tyler DeGeorge, Stephanie Maluso, Amanda Maurer, and Christopher Vass.
These individuals have participated in activities such as TBall, Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Softball, and Flag Football. Their commitment to the PAL is also witnessed in the volunteer hours spent working the scoreboard at games, volunteering to coach some of PAL's younger participants, and our Shake the Can fundraisers. Along with their commitment to sports, they have been active in New Providence through organizations such as the Food Pantry, New Providence Education Foundation, Drive for Autism, and Relay for Life to name a few.
