NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - During the course of an investigation of fraudulent use of credit cards in surrounding towns, the New Providence Police Department has uncovered a possible business located within New Providence where the credit card numbers may have been fraudulently obtained.

According to the police department, these numbers are then being utilized to make fraudulent purchases at various stores in Plainfield and Branchburg and stores at Jersey Gardens, The Mall at Short Hills, Menlo Park and Woodbridge.

Anyone who has had fraudulent purchases after Nov. 1, 2014 on their credit cards or debit cards have been asked to  contact Detective Andrew Diamond at (908) 665-1111 or at adiamond@newprov.org. Any consumer still in possession of these cards who have used this card within New Providence prior to the fraud are requested to contact Det. Diamond.
