NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - NP Public Art will be holding our 3rd Annual Fundraiser on Sat. Jan. 6th from 7-9 p.m. at the DeCorso Center, 15 East 4th St. New Providence. Titled "You Gotta Have Art!” the event will include food, drinks, a silent auction, and two acts of entertainment. First will be a one-act comedy directed by Theresa Turner and performed by a talented group of NP students, followed by a cabaret directed by Jamie Peterson with several amazing singers, including Sasha Kandybin, Noah Kudman, John Ertman, Natalie Pereira, Lara Gavigan, Matthew Wang, Shannon Charlton and Emily and Paige Peterson. One night only! Come and enjoy a night out while supporting NP Public Art!

Initiated by the late local artist Marjan Nirou-Saniee in 2015, NP Public Art’s mission is to enrich the quality of New Providence by making works of public art a feature of the community. It receives no funding from the Borough. The three inaugural sculptures were made possible by our first annual fundraiser two year ago, which also featured a silent auction and play performed by high school students. Thanks to that fundraiser, and other private donations, there are now six public sculptures throughout New Providence. These pieces of art, however, are leased for one to two years, so in order to continue our public art program, ongoing support is needed from the community. Members of the community may make a tax deductible contribution to NP Public Art by sending a check to: NPPA, 360 Elkwood Avenue, New Providence.NJ 07974.
