NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - A New Providence resident involved in an auto accident in the borough on Saturday was charged by New Providence police with drug possession and drunk driving.
Corporal Chad Wilson arrested Christopher Stanek, 29, of New Providence and charged him with possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while intoxicated. After a car accident, Wilson was flagged down on South Street and advised of the crash.
Wilson found that Stanek was involved in the crash and Wilson determined that Stanek was under the influence and arrested him. Stanek was released pending an upcoming appearance in Superior Court in Elizabeth.
