New Providence School District will hold Kindergarten/First Grade Registration for 2017-2018 on March 1, 2017

The New Providence School District is accepting student registration for all incoming kindergarten and first grade students for the 2017-2018 school year.

To be eligible for registration, a child must be five years old on or before October 1, 2017. Online pre-registration is required prior to attending Registration Day on March 1, 2017. A link to complete the pre-registration process can be found on the New Providence District Homepage at www.npsd.k12.nj.us

After completing the online pre-registration, parents/legal guardians should attend Registration Day, March 1, 2017 to present required documentation and complete the registration process. The Registration Day event is being held at Allen W. Roberts Elementary School and Salt Brook Elementary School.

Parents who have children with the last names A-L should attend between the hours of 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, and students with last names M-Z should attend from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.

Parents/legal guardians must present the following documents on Registration Day, March 1, 2017: 1) Parent/Guardian Identification (Valid Driver’s license, passport or state ID) 2) An original or certified copy of the student’s birth documentation 3) Court stamped copy of custody documentation, if applicable 4) Immunization records and physical forms 5) Four (4) proofs of residency – i.e. property deed, purchase agreement, utility bills, or benefit statement .

Muñoz Bill Addressing Lack of Access to Mental Healthcare Passes Assembly

Kent Place School Graduates New Providence Residents at 123rd Commencement

On Sunday, June 4, the Class of 2017 graduated at the 123rd Kent Place School Commencement. Among the 71 members of the Class of 2017 are (pictured l to r) Samantha Silverstein and Sophie Narciso.

During the ceremony, Samantha Silverstein was inducted into the Kent Place Cum Laude Society and she also received the music award.

Sophie Narciso was awarded the drama prize.
