New Providence residents ages 55+ were welcomed at an open house at The New Providence Senior/Adult Center on Sunday, November 7. Director Peggy Brodeur, members and volunteers were in attendance to acclimate newcomers with all the Center has to offer. Also on hand were the Borough’s Public Health Nurse, Janice Gironda, and SAGE Senior Social Worker, Ellen McNally, as well as several of the education, art and exercise instructors who share their talents at the Center.
Highlighted at the open house were the many services available to the New Providence adults who are over the age of 55 including use of the facility, free classes, trips, dinners and general support for age-related issues. Those in attendance were encouraged to participate and to contribute their ideas and talents for other activities which they enjoy.
Those who are interested in joining but were unable to attend the Open House are welcome to stop by the Center which is open weekdays from 10AM to 4PM. New members (New Providence residents ages 55+) are always welcome.
There are several upcoming events in December that our adults are encouraged to participate in, including musical performances, a holiday party and a trip to NYC for dinner and to see the holiday decorations.
