NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – The field is set for the 2015 NJSIAA Boys’ and Girls’ State Soccer Tournaments. Both of New Providence’s varsity programs made the tournament, the boys’ as the No. 13 seed and the girls’ in the No. 7 slot.

State tournament action begins on Monday when head coach Scott Murphy’s girls’ kick-off their run in the North Jersey 2, Group 1 bracket with a home match against No. 9 Roselle Park.  While the two squads didn’t play each other this season, the Pioneers defeated the Panthers in a mid-season match last year, 6-0.

New Providence is riding a three-game winning streak heading into the state tournament.  Monday’s match kicks off at 4 p.m. at Lieder Field.
