NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The Borough of New Providence and American Legion Post #433 invite all to attend this year’s Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27, 2019.   The parade will kick off at 10:00 a.m., rain or shine, along Springfield Avenue between Central Avenue and Academy Street. Post #433 and the New Providence Community Activities Department have co-sponsored the town’s Memorial Day parade, in remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives while serving in the U.S. military for more than 65 years.

Join American Legion Post #433, New Providence High School Marching Band, New Providence Borough’s officials, Police Department and its Honor Guard, the Fire Department, and many other local civic organizations who will be marching along the mile-long route ending at the Veterans’ Memorial Library. The parade will pause for memorial services at the Methodist and Presbyterian churches to conduct brief memorial services in honor of our town’s deceased veterans.

Immediately following the parade, American Legion Post #433 (next to the library) and the DeCorso Community Center (15 East 4th Street) invite everyone for Hot Dogs and light refreshments.
