BASKING RIDGE, NJ - About a dozen clients gathered at Veneto Ristorante last Monday afternoon over some sandwiches, paninis, and good company, hosted by Walter Pardo (CEO)  and Jill Biagio (Client Relations) of Wealth Financial Partners (WFP.)

The crowd was walked through an interactive and informative presentation that shined a unique perspective on those preparing for ‘re-wirement’, a phrase Pardo prefers to use instead of ‘retirement’.

“‘RETIRE ON PURPOSE and other educational programs are so important for our clients that recently ‘Re-wired’ or are right about to enter that transition in their life,” said Pardo. “It gives them ‘HOPE’ that they are not alone, that their fears they have are not uncommon and that things are going to be ok.”

Before the discussion was under way, everybody went around the room introducing themselves and sharing the first concert they had ever attended, creating a sense of familiarity and comfort amongst the crowd

Throughout the presentation, the guests were tasked with writing out what qualities about where they live they value the most, as well as pondering what was on their dream, curiosity, and mastery list.  These are things that many people assume they know, but when pen gets put to paper, they realize that perhaps not all has been figured out as they approach this stage in their life.

“The feedback we always get from our clients and their friends after this past event was that they left the restaurant with a greater anticipation for what is to come,” said Pardo.

A combination of hilarious yet eye-opening videos, interactive conversation, thought-provoking questions, and delicious food proved to be a fantastic time for those in attendance, as everyone, young and old, left the discussion gaining new and valuable insight.

This afternoon occasion was part of a series of events hosted by WFP for his clients, as every event offers educational value, fun, or both, as there is always something you can take away from one of these events, and there is no doubting everybody there did, as they are all more prepared for 're-wirement'.

Sleep out at Covenant House

June 18, 2018

I can enjoy the same movies over and over like it were the first time to see them.  My kids roll their eyes at this.  Well, many unimaginable things happen as you become a certain age, and you tend to learn to accept those things graciously as gift.   But I remember the movie “The Blind Side.”  Until I saw that movie, I didn’t know homeless children ...

What's Hot and What's Not

Summer is a great time to take a step back, sip a cool beverage, and take a look at what’s going on in the world of college admissions.  Departments use the summer to evaluate how their year went and plan on any changes they want to make for the fall.  Did they over-enroll? Under-enroll?  What application materials were useful to them?  Which were redundant or time ...
