Six New Providence Athletes Advance to NJSIAA Winter Indoor Track Meet of Champions

TOMS RIVER, NJ - Continuing with their accomplishments this season, New Providence seniors Joshua Ornovitz, Jillian Turner, Megan Friscia, Raphael Santos along with junior Mark Pasquariello, and Robert Zeto all will advance to the NJSIAA Meet of Champions on Saturday, February 27 at the John Bennett Indoor Sports Center in Toms River. They finished among the top six in their respective NJSIAA Group 1 Championship events at the John Bennett Indoor Sports Center on Saturday.

Ornovitz captured the gold in Pole Vault clearing 13-00, which is his personal best (as recorded in

Turner placed second in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 5:03.61 and third in the 3200 Meter Run with a time of 11:00.93. Friscia placed fourth in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 5:14.10.

Pasquariello placed second in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 4:22.14 and third in the 3200 Meter Run with a time of 9:33.80. 

Santos placed second in the 55 Meter Dash with a time of 6:63. 

Zeto placed sixth in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:02.08.

Friscia finished 10th in the 3200 Meter Run with a time of 12:01.80.

Senior Jordan Price finished 7th in 1600 Meter Run with a time of 4:27.28.

Zeto finished 12th in 1600 Meter Run with a time of 4:36.05.

Freshman Cheney Price finished 7th in Pole Vault with a mark of 11-00.
