Strides for Students 5K - Be a Hero for Education


NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The New Providence Education Foundation (NPEF) will be hosting its fourth annual Strides 4 Students 5K race on Sunday, October 15, 2017. There will also be a Fun Run at 10 a.m. for the younger children. The race this year will have a HERO theme – BE A HERO FOR EDUCATION - dress as your favorite hero – your hero can be anyone you like: a superhero, police officer, fire fighter OR come as yourself! – Be as creative as you like!   This is a USATF registered race.  Full registration details can be found at

Everyone aged 13 and below that registers for the 5K race or the Fun Run, will be entered into a raffle to win a Game Truck party. The 5K race will be held at the New Providence High School on Pioneer Drive, New Providence NJ and starts at 9 a.m. The  Fun Run will kick off at 10 a.m. on Lieder Field located at the high school.  Early bird registration rates are offered until October 7, 2017.

The NPEF is excited to host another great event that brings the community together, offers some friendly competition and family fun. There will be a fire truck, music, entertainment and refreshments.
