UIH FAMILY PARTNERS of Trenton empowers men, fathers and families to achieve self-sufficiency through workforce development, parenting education and family activities. The goal is to offer community-wide benefits of having engaged, responsible men as fathers and citizens.

SJFC Provisional Class members have noted that all funds raised at the 6/23 event will be directly donated to UIH. The recipient organization has told SJFC that even small contributions can have a very real impact for these men. Examples of items the funds will be dispersed for include: bus pass to/from work ($10 donation), learning curriculum for two men ($25 donation);  one hour of case management for a father ($50 donation); online certification class ($100 donation).

Each year the entering members of the SJFC take on a “class-project” to raise funds for a New Jersey organization by means of an event or volunteer effort. More seasoned members note that this is an excellent way to have new members connect to each other as well as to the mission and practices of the group.

The Summit Junior Fortnightly Club is a women’s social and philanthropic club dedicated to community service and outreach, with a focus on improving the welfare of families and children within our communities.  SJFC also provides an opportunity to build lasting friendships on a foundation of common values and shared experiences. We meet monthly, September through May, in the historic Twin Maples House in Summit, NJ. These meetings are our platform for planning events and volunteer activities, socializing, and hearing from local speakers on topics of interest.
