SUMMIT OLD GUARD TO HEAR ABOUT THE LEGACY OF REVEREND MYCHAL JUDGE

 

The Summit Old Guard will hear a presentation from Dr. Julie O’Connell Juliano, who will speak about the legacy of compassion the late Reverend Mychal Judge, a Franciscan priest who was the first certified person to die at the 9/11 disaster at the World Trade Center.  Reverend Judge was the Chaplain of the New York fire department. The presentation will heard at the New Providence Municipal Center on July 3 at 10 A.M.

Dr. O’Connell is an English instructor and is the Director of the Writing Laboratory at Felician College in Lodi New Jersey.  She has a Doctorate in English Literature from Drew University.

All area 50-plus active men are invited to attend meetings of the Summit Area Old Guard on Tuesday mornings at the New Providence Municipal Center at 360 Elkwood Avenue.  A coffee hour starts at 9:15 that is followed by a 10 AM short business meeting. Old Guard members participate in sports, bridge, hikes, trips, plays, concerts and cultural events.
