NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - Summit resident John Creel has joined the Board of Trustees of the New Providence-based NJ Sharing Network, an organization with the mission to save lives through organ and tissue donation.
To date, there are more than 120,000 people waiting for a transplant and 22 die each day while waiting, but one organ donor can save eight lives and one tissue donor can restore health to over 75 people. In New Jersey, there are over 4,000 people on the waiting list – 286 in Union County alone - and one person dies every three days waiting.
Creel is currently the Director of Transplant Marketing for the Immunology & Dermatology Business Unit of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. He has been with Novartis Pharmaceuticals for more than 10 years and, prior to working for Novartis, he was Director of Marketing at Pfizer.
"John brings a track record of driving performance in the highly specialized disease area of transplantation,” said Joe Roth, President and CEO of NJ Sharing Network. “He is a motivated and passionate leader who brings years of expertise to our leadership team. We are fortunate to have him join our Board.”
Creel received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
New Jersey residents can help save lives by registering as organ and tissue donors at NJSharingNetwork.org, having a conversation with family and friends and joining NJ Sharing Network at its upcoming events.
