NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – Two new doctors have joined the staff of New Providence Chiropractic, increasing the scope of services at this established practice.

Dr. Michael A. Sefcik and Dr. Todd P. Cunningham joined Dr. Mark Schlobohm late in 2011.

Sefcik received a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Saint John Fisher College, and his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus. Sefcik specializes in Gonstead Technique, Diversified, Flexion/Distraction, and Active Release Technique. He believes that patient education is a very important step in the patients’ overall treatment and wellness. He has a specific interest in enhancing athletic performance through chiropractic care and incorporating chiropractic into the active community.

“He has been a great fit for our office,” Schlobohm said. “The patients really love him.”

Cunningham recently moved to New Jersey from his native California, where he has been in practice since 1993. Cunningham met Schlobohm on their first day of chiropractic college.

“We’ve been friends for 25 years, and I couldn’t be happier to have him on board,” Schlobohm said.

Over the years, Cunningham has added nutritional counseling, Activator and Bio-Cranial non-force techniques, NET, and injury prevention teachings to his experience.

“Both of these doctors have already added so much to our services,” Schlobohm said. “The compliment the quality of care we’re known for.”

Schlobohm specializes in Applied Kinesiology, Gonstead Sacro-related occipital and Diversified Techniques, and the evaluation and treatment of sports-related injuries and spinal rehabilitation. He is certified in performing permanent impairment ratins and is an instructor for the American Red Cross “Protect Your Back Program.” Schlobohm is a recipient of the Kats Management Chiropractic Excellence award and was the 1996 Businessperson of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce.
