Weather Looking Bright and Sunny for Saturday's Union County St. Patrick's Day Parade


UNION, NJ - The weather’s been tough to bear the last few days, but it’s supposed to clear up just in time for Saturday’s Union County St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

There is a possibility of scattered showers Friday, with a high of 46.  Friday night’s low is 30. 

But Saturday looks mostly sunny with a high of 44.

Kicking off the day, the Thornstick Mass takes place at 9:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Elizabeth at 215 Court Street.

At noon, reviewing stand festivities will begin and the “Kid’s Zone” area will be open to all on Stuyvesant Ave. (at the intersection of Morris Ave.). 

At 1:00 sharp, the parade begins with the marching units gathered on Morris Ave. and along Commerce and Jeanette Avenues.  The parade route proceeds east along Morris Avenue to a turn at the main reviewing stand at Stuyvesant and ends at Roosevelt Ave.

The midway reviewing stand at Morris and Caldwell Avenues has parade announcers with details of all of the participants, history and other information.
